I just want to say thank you for assembling such a wonderful team at ICA. With this being my first year as a producer, I have mostly worked with folks in the AccessPlus and training departments. Their level of service has been outstanding and has helped me and my agency grow in so many ways. I want to give a special shout out to Jason Gallob who has been extremely helpful and enjoyable to work with in AccessPlus. He is always willing to go the extra mile to help me and my clients.
I have a long way to go, but I don’t think I could have found much success without the support from ICA.
I really liked the commercial 101 class and thought that it was both great for any type of agent or employee whether you were new to the field of insurance or had been in the industry for years. Barbara was very outgoing and enthusiastic when she taught the class and gave “real life “ examples and how they can relate to what we were learning about. I recommend this class for everyone.
Having been an agent for the past 10 years, I didn’t realize how much knowledge I could gain from this course (Commercial Lines Training). But Justine taught me so much about Cyber Liability, Work Comp and the Acord Forms that I was dreading using. All of this will be a piece of cake to complete thanks to Justine. I would recommend this class to new agents as well as seasoned agent. A+++
Justine and the team over at ICA are amazing individuals who really focus on getting the important details of every lesson across. The knowledge gained from Commerical Lines 101 has helped me feel more confident when approaching a potential client. I would def recommend this class to any newbies in the commercial insurance world!
I have been in multiple sales positions throughout my life. And I have also had many different sales classes and courses throughout my career. When our agency chose to start offering P&C products we initially fell into the trap that many other agents fall into… we were attempting to sell on price alone, not bringing value to the conversation, and did not have a solidified sales/marketing plan in place for our personal and commercial lines. The sales/marketing class that we participated through ICA was one of the most thorough and insightful classes that I have been able to be a part of. We were able to define strengths and weaknesses in our processes. We now have a much clearer picture on the direction we can head and more importantly how to best serve our clients through value and not price alone. I believe that this course is paramount for every producer, agency owner, or even CSR no matter their experience level!

Things have been great since I joined ICA. I have really enjoyed the training program, as Barbara and Candi have been with me just about every step of the way training me to be a commercial professional. Since joining my commercial book of business has grown to just over $600k (I moved to ICA with a total of $300k both personal and commercial mainly personal). They are awesome! And of course Charlene and Tim have always been there to help along with the ladies in AccessPlus. Anyway, I’m just saying I’m still very happy with joining ICA.
My agency is growing. After four attempts, I have finally found a CSR/Producer that works. He is currently averaging $40k per month in NB. Today I have my first Spanish speaking producer starting, which is exciting. We have great companies for personal lines with Travelers, and Safeco holding the bulk of our personal book. However, currently do not have any commercial appointment other than BTIS. My goal for next year is to open commercial appointments. This would be awesome.
I am always impressed with Sharon Sawyer, and her ability to help our agency grow. When we had an issue where we have needed help to grow our agency, Sharon listens and comes up with very helpful insights that are taken to heart and implemented. We sense that she cares about us and our agency, and is invested and dedicated as we are to the success of our business. Sharon has become a friend through our interactions, whose advice is taken with great appreciation.
As I approach my 1 year anniversary, I can’t help but be so incredibly thankful for ICA and your team. My best year at Farmers, I believe I wrote $ l 77K in New Business Premium.
I will surpass $400K this year, it’s just unbelievable!
Anyway, as I sit here being super thankful. I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate and am thankful for this change of course in my career.
Coming from the exclusive/captive agent side, my focus was always on personal lines with very limited commercial exposure. The training provided by Candace at ICA was a huge benefit to me. Now I have the knowledge and confidence needed to quote any commercial business that comes my way, and I know if I get stuck the entire team at ICA is there to help me out. It’s great coming across commercial leads knowing I will have a market for them instead of turning business away that didn’t fit my captive carrier’s appetite. The commercial training program is long, but there’s lots of information to take in. The training offered by ICA was exactly what I needed to grow my knowledge of commercial insurance, and it has already helped my business grow.
I participated in the ICA P&C training for both personal and commercial as an opportunity to refresh many CE classes I’ve taken before. However, it was a surprise since the training was much better and beyond everything I’ve learned. The educational contents (with personal coaching) are very organized, informational, practical and easy to understand, I will definitely use them as my future reference for our agency.

I want to say a big THANK YOU for allowing me the opportunity to attend your fantastic SIAA/ICA meeting. We had I believe 6 new ICA members who we wish to appoint and several agencies that I plan on reinstating in the new future. From a business standpoint – your meeting was a success for Legacy. Thank you for the drinks, dinner, breakfast, lunch and the greatest magician/comedian that I have seen. He was a 10 star, not a 5 star, in my book. WOW! Is all I can say.
Phil, your business slides, and discussion was informative as was Barb, and Tim’s. I am extremely impressed with your whole organization. I really like the education and training piece Barb is putting together. This truly is the foundation for growing a strong (er) organization. IT marketing is also huge going forward.
